What is FEMTO LASIK?

Femto LASIK PRO: The Reference in Refractive Surgery for Perfect Vision

Femto LASIK PRO is today's benchmark refractive surgery technique, offering optimal correction of visual defects. Unlike the SMILE method, this advanced technology can treat all vision defects, even combined:

✅ Myopia
✅ Hyperopia
✅ Astigmatism
✅ Presbyopia

Thanks to its exceptional precision, this technique guarantees safe, long-lasting results, with rapid visual recovery.

How does the Femto LASIK PRO work?

This laser eye surgery is based on the action of two advanced lasers:

🔹 The femtosecond laser: with absolute precision, it creates an ultra-thin cap (around 0.1 mm thick) on the cornea.
🔹 The excimer laser: this sculpts the cornea, removing precisely the tissue needed to correct vision.

Thanks to this dual technology, Femto LASIK PRO ensures maximum safety, optimal post-operative comfort and rapid recovery.

Tens of thousands of happy patients

"Very friendly and professional staff, state-of-the-art equipment. I had my operation two months ago and am completely satisfied with the result. The operation is quick, painless and the results are instantaneous! I highly recommend it to anyone who's tired of wearing glasses or contacts. :)"

Advantages of Femto Lasik

Femto-LASIK is an innovative advance on LASIK, in which the flap is prepared using a laser to protect the cornea, rather than a blade as is traditionally the case. As a result, this procedure has a short recovery time, and you can return to everyday life after just one day.

Clear vision almost immediately after the procedure

Safe

Femto LASIK guarantees safety by stopping the laser as soon as the eye moves.

High ametropia can be corrected

  • The treatment, with full preparation and follow-up, takes only about 5 to 8 minutes per eye. The laser treatment itself usually lasts only a few seconds.

  • Yes, the results of laser vision correction (such as LASIK, Femto-LASIK or SMILE Pro) are long-lasting and stable over time. The laser precisely reshapes the cornea to correct myopia, hyperopia or astigmatism. Once corrected, the new shape of the cornea generally remains stable throughout life.

However, as with any part of the body, the eye continues to evolve with age. For example, from the age of forty onwards, it is natural to develop presbyopia (difficulty in seeing up close), a phenomenon independent of the initial laser treatment. This does not call into question the effectiveness of distance vision correction.

  • Recovery from Femto-LASIK laser surgery is generally very rapid. The majority of patients experience a significant improvement in their vision within the first few hours following the procedure. Clear, stable vision is often achieved the very next day, enabling a rapid return to daily activities.

In terms of healing, the eye continues to regenerate naturally for a few weeks, although most of the visual recovery takes place in the first few days. We recommend avoiding dusty environments, contact sports and swimming for around three weeks to promote optimal healing.

Thanks to the precision of the femtosecond laser, Femto-LASIK enables effective vision correction, with great post-operative comfort and rapid visual recovery for the majority of patients.

  • In LASIK or Femto-LASIK refractive surgery, the flap is a thin strip created on the surface of the cornea using a high-precision laser. This corneal flap provides access to the inner layers of the cornea for visual correction, while preserving the surface tissues.

Once the correction has been made, the flap is precisely repositioned, without the need for stitches. It adheres naturally within minutes, thanks to the cornea's healing properties. In the days following surgery, the flap stabilizes and begins to set firmly, enabling rapid recovery of vision.

Most patients return to normal life the day after surgery. It is important, however, to follow the post-operative recommendations, such as avoiding rubbing the eyes, to ensure that the flap is properly repositioned and heals optimally.
