ICL

The implantable contact lens

Reliable method when laser is not possible

Surgery on both eyes, one week apart

Corrects myopia, astigmatism and hyperopia

What is ICL?

Advantages of ICL

An Implantable Contact Lens (ICL) is a cutting-edge Collamer lens, designed to provide clear vision in all circumstances. This innovative vision correction system effectively treats a wide range of refractive disorders, from mild to severe myopia, as well as hyperopia and astigmatism.

Unlike traditional contact lenses, which rest on the surface of the eye and can cause irritation, the ICL is implanted inside the eye, where it remains permanently. It is totally invisible and undetectable, offering a long-lasting solution for clear, comfortable vision.

Suitable for almost everyone

Even extremely high ametropia can be corrected

No dry eyes

No risk of dry eyes, as corneal tissue is not affected.

Integrated UV protection

Collamer lens protects against harmful UV rays

Fully reversible

The lens can be replaced if visual acuity changes

Versatile and suitable for almost everyone

We are proud of our qualifications and certifications, which ensure that our team has the expertise needed to provide exceptional service.

Intraocular lenses (ICL): The Alternative to Laser for Perfect Vision

Intraocular lens implantation (ICL) is an advanced refractive surgery technique, offering effective correction of visual disorders without modifying the cornea. This innovative solution is ideal for patients ineligible for laser treatment, and can correct :

✅ Myopia
✅ Hyperopia
✅ Astigmatism

With this method's exceptional precision, you can be sure of optimum results and clear vision without the need for glasses or contact lenses.

How does intraocular lens ( ICL ) implant surgery work?

This state-of-the-art refractive surgery is based on the insertion of a soft lens behind the iris, via an ultra-minimal micro-incision. The procedure is :

🔹 Ambulatory: performed in just a few minutes, without hospitalization.
🔹 Painless: thanks to a local anesthetic in the form of drops.

Tens of thousands of happy patients

"Very friendly and professional staff, state-of-the-art equipment. I had my operation two months ago and am completely satisfied with the result. The operation is quick, painless and the results are instantaneous! I highly recommend it to anyone who's tired of wearing glasses or contacts.:)"

- Jean

  • Intraocular implant surgery is primarily intended for people for whom laser surgery is not recommended. It is ideal for patients with high myopia, hyperopia or astigmatism, when correction exceeds the limits of conventional laser treatments such as LASIK or SMILE.

Implants can also be proposed to patients with too thin a cornea, dry eye or contraindications to corneal remodeling.

  • The ICL (Implantable Collamer Lens) is a flexible, biocompatible lens placed inside the eye, between the iris and the natural crystalline lens. Unlike cataract surgery, the ICL does not replace the crystalline lens: it simply sits alongside it, to correct vision for the long term.

This position enables the implant to remain totally invisible from the outside, and perfectly well tolerated.

  • ICL is designed to be permanent and durable over time. Made from a biocompatible material called Collamer, it is perfectly tolerated by the eye and can remain in place for several decades, without requiring any special maintenance.

In the vast majority of cases, the ICL does not need to be replaced. However, it can be removed or adjusted if necessary, for example in the event of natural vision changes or the development of a cataract.

  • Recovery from ICL implantation is generally rapid and well tolerated. Most patients experience a clear improvement in vision within the first few hours after surgery, with stable vision within a few days.

Complete healing of the eye usually occurs within one to two weeks, although visual quality continues to stabilize naturally over time. During this period, follow-up visits are scheduled to ensure that everything is progressing normally.

It is advisable to avoid intense physical exercise, swimming and rubbing the eyes during the first few days to promote optimal recovery.
